PPPJ 2003 short paper (poster) session

Call for submissions

The PPPJ poster session will involve the presentation of short papers describing ongoing work in a manner that enables interaction and discussion.

To apply for a slot in the poster session, send an email to posters@pppj.info with a description of the short paper which should be a maximum of 3 PDF pages formatted single-spaced, single column, and using a 12pt Times font. Include title, author list, postal address and abstract as plain text in the e-mail. Short papers must arrive no later than 17th March 2003.

All accepted short papers which are presented in the poster session will be published as a one page summary in the printed conference proceedings with ISBN.

SFI Student Bursaries

A number of student bursaries, funded by the Science Foundation Ireland, will be available to offset the cost of presenting at PPPJ 2003.

The bursary will consist of a waiver of registration fees (including lunches and conference banquet) and up to 250 euro towards travel and accomodation costs.

To qualify for a student bursary you must:

  1. Be a full-time student at a third-level institution
  2. Be a student member of the ACM by June 2003 (Join now - this only costs $42)
  3. Obtain from your academic adviser/supervisor a one-page letter of support
  4. Be willing to contribute up to 2 hours of your time during the conference itself to help out with administration tasks
To apply for a bursary, send the relevant information in PDF or plain ASCII to posters@pppj.info by 24th March 2003. Please make sure to include the name of the paper/poster that you have submitted.

Results will be announced by March 31st. Bursaries will be awarded by the Steering Committee based on the quality of paper or poster submitted. Students from Economically Developing Countries will be given preference.
