Research Interest and Impact
Dr. Galvan is an expert in the properties of encodings, such as neutrality and locality, in Genetic Programming as well as a pioneer in the study of Semantic- based Genetic Programming. His research interests also include applications to combinatorial optimisation, neural networks, neuroevolution, games and software engineering.
Dr. Edgar Galvan has independently ranked as one of the all-time top 1% researchers in Genetic Programming, according to University College London.
