This conference seeks to draw together researchers, teachers and
programmers who study or work with the Java programming language to
discuss the principles and practice of its use in a friendly and
convivial academic environment.
This year's conference is being held in co-operation with
ACM SIGAPP,
the Special Interest Group on Applied Computing, whose mission is
to further the development of new applications and the transfer of
computing technology to new problem domains.

Topics
We invite papers exploring all aspects of Java programming; in
particular we seek research papers covering the principles of
programming in Java, and teaching and experience reports dealing with
the practice of Java programming.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Software Engineering with Java
Program Design and Implementation
Design Patterns through Java
Novel Applications of Java

Performance of Java Programs
Practice and experience
Teaching Java Programming
Applications in science, engineering and mathematics

Papers must be uploaded in PDF (or WORD) format using this
FORM by 1st February 2004 for review. Please submit
either an extended abstract or short paper of up to 6 pages in
length. Papers should be formatted so that they are single-spaced,
single column, and use a 12pt Times font. All papers
submitted will be reviewed in full by reviewers from independent
institutions.
