Despite its relatively recent origin, the Java programming language
has become established as the language of choice for internet-based
and mobile applications, and increasingly challenges the prominence of
more established languages in many other fields.
This conference seeks to draw together researchers, teachers and
programmers who study or work with the Java programming language to discuss
the principles and practice of its use, in the friendly and convivial
environment of Trinity College Dublin.
