Pointer Functions
New: procedure to allocate memory for a data item and to place its address into p.
Delete: procedure to free memory for data item whose address is in p and to make p undefined
To test the equality of two pointers (p and q), a boolean expression is used : p = = q. This tests whether p and q hold the same address.
