Google Custom Search for NUI Maynooth and its Sub-Domains

3 "Custom Search" Solutions

Three Options to Search NUI Maynooth and its Sub-Domains

I have created a Custom Search tool in Google. This overcomes some of the server-specific limitations of the search tools available on some servers. This Custom Search Engine will return results from as well as pages from other servers like:,,,, etc.

This page shows three different means of accessing this Custom Search tool. All are "easy to adopt" solutions that are easily used by anyone. Because this search is specific to NUI Maynooth, it does not return pages beyond this domain - ordinary Google search achieves this!

1. NUIM and Sub-Domains Search Box

The following search box will return results from multiple servers (try it).

Custom Search

To include this NUI-M Search box in your web page, just copy and paste the following code into your own web-page.

<style type="text/css">< /FONT>

@import url(;

<div class="cse-branding-right" style= "background-color:#FFFFFF;color:#000000">< /FONT>

  <div class="cse-branding-form">< /FONT>

    <form action="" id= "cse-search-box">< /FONT>

        <input type="hidden" name="cx" value="000710223490803793391:ltpep8bw2z0" />< /FONT>

        <input type="text" name="q" size="25" />< /FONT>

        <input type="submit" name="sa" value="Search" />< /FONT>

  <div class="cse-branding-logo">< /FONT>

    <img src="" alt="Google" />< /FONT>

  <div class="cse-branding-text">< /FONT>

2. A stand alone NUIM-wide Search Page

The following link points to a custom NUIM search page. Feel free to link to this search page.

Click on NUIM Site Search to see it in action.

3. NUIM Search is also available as an iGoogle Gadget

I also created an iGoogle widget that you can add to your iGoogle page using the link below.

Please feel free to contact me if your sub-domain is not on my list and you wish to have it added to this list - or if your web-site is on my list and you wish to have it removed.
