Department Seminars 2008-2009

About the series

The Computer Science Department runs two main streams of seminars:

• The Postgraduate Seminar Series takes place on takes place on Wednesdays from 11.00-12.00 in the Conference Room , and give the department's MSc and PhD students a chance to update their colleagues on the progress of their research, and to obtain some feedback from their fellow staff and students. Typically these are relatively short seminars of 20-25 minutes each.
• The Departmental Seminar Series takes place on Fridays from 12.00-13.00 in the Conference Room . Chiefly these offer an opportunity for members of staff to present their current research, or to discuss topics in Computer Science of interest to them.

These divisions aren't hard-and-fast, and we're always happy to accommodate people who need extra time to fully do justice to their work!
