Week 1
Wednesday 31st July
Bus Pickup from Dublin airport.
Thursday 1st August
A visit to Dublin city to see some famous places and orientate everyone to the city layout. This is followed by a short tour of the NUIM campus on the return to Maynooth.
Friday 2nd August

There will an opening Address by Head of Department of Computer Science.

For Friday there will be one day of classes with lectures in the morning and laboratory practical work sessions in the afternoons.

The class title is Approaches to Computer Graphics by Dr. Charles Markham.

Saturday 3rd August

Group Visit to Dublin Castle in Dublin.

Sunday 4th August

Free Day..

Week 2
Monday 5th August
Group Visit to two sites of tourist interest in Ireland: Glendalough Visitor Centre and Powerscourt House, Co. Wicklow
Tuesday 6th - Wednesday 7th
Two days of classes with lectures in the morning and laboratory practical work sessions in the afternoons.

The class title is Software Verification by Dr. Rosemary Monaghan.

Thursday 8th
Group visit to Microsoft Ireland and then to Intel in Dublin.
Friday 9th
One day of classes with lectures in the morning and laboratory practical work sessions in the afternoons.

The class title is Software Program Analysis by Dr. James Power.

Saturday 10th
A visit to Dublin city to see Dublin Castle.
Sunday 11th
Free Day.
Week 3
Monday 12th - Tuesday 13th
Two days of classes with lectures in the morning and laboratory practical work sessions in the afternoons.

The class title is Wireless Sensor Networks: Examples and Issues by Dr. Stephen Brown.

Wednesay 14th
Group Visit to two sites of tourist interest in Ireland: Kilkenny Castle and Dunmore Caves, Co. Kilkenny
Thursday 15th

One day classes with lectures in the morning and laboratory practical work sessions in the afternoons.

 

The class title is Digital Audio and Video Procecssing using the Macintosh by Dr. J. Timoney and R. Voigt.

Friday 16th

One morning of classes.

The class title is Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Geocomputation by Dr. A. Winstanley.

Closing Ceremony

On the Friday afternoon the closing ceremony will be held in Pugin Hall, South Campus, NUI Maynooth. At the ceremony the college President will award all participants a Certificate of Completion for the school.

Week 4
Monday 19th
One day of classes with lectures in the morning and laboratory practical work sessions in the afternoons.

Tuesday 20th
Group Visit to two sites of tourist interest in Ireland: Newgrange and the Hill of Tara, Co. Meath
Wednesday 21st
Bus transfer to Dublin Airport
